Simple, yet Awesome design (RHDG-LateWork)
« on: 2015-03-05 00:12:43 »
Hi guys,

This is my first design and I put a lot hours in it.
I made this because I didn't like the other designs, most of them display to many (unnecessary) information.

So this is the menu, the buttons represent the other pages.
They are select-able with the arrow keys.

The default page shows some default information:

The gaming page shows some useful gaming stats like GPU heat, GPU load, FPS and such:

The media page is quite complex.
The CD will start spinning when the music is playing.
If there is no album art there will be a auto-generated picture.
You can choose to enable lyrics if they are available.

The news page is quite simple with the RSS of BBC and the local weather data:

Additional details:
The media page will be loaded when the music changes to "Playing". (Except for the menu) If you browse to other pages while the music is playing this wont happen.
Media page will be refreshed once when the music is stopped. (this prevents the blurry album art glitch)
You can fast switch between the "default" and "gaming" page by using the left and right key.
There is a mail notification in the header bar when there is unread mail.

Well, that's quite it...
The zipfile is attached.

Please report if you find room for improvements and/or any errors  :)

I'd say put it up; it's always good for people to have more layouts to choose from.

I'd be curious to have a look at how you put parts of it together, too. ;)

Its my first design, so I'm afraid it might be build a little sloppy.
For example: I had some troubles with the cursor images, so I used a logics box to light them up.

The zipfile is attached in the first post of this thread.

Just unzip the contents to a folder in Documents\LCDHost\layouts.
Use LCDhost to open Menu.xml
